A message from the CMDG Treasurer...

 

Hi

Can I ask you something? Do you buy “things“ on the internet and do you use “Easyfundraising“ to raise funds for a good cause? If the answer is yes to both then the rest of this letter will not be of interest as it is not my intention to divert funds from good causes you already support. If however you buy on the internet but don't use “Easyfundraising“ then please read the next section.

The idea is that by linking to your retail sites through www.easyfundraising.org.uk you can generate donations to a cause you support, in this case the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group, at no cost to your self. For example I recently purchased 2 ink cartridges from www.photoglossy.com ( at very competitive prices ) and within 24 hours the groups account was credited with £1.40. I am now renewing my household building and contents and hope to get between £20 and £40 for the group. I will do my home work for this in the normal way and link through “Easyfundraising” to make the purchase. The site has links to over 600 retailers of all sorts so all your favourites should be there. If you like this idea the next section is the ABC of how to do this easily.

• Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and click on register. Fill in a few details and when asked choose Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group to support.
• If you have a favourites group in your browser for shopping I suggest you put Easyfundraising at the top ( drag and drop will normally do the job ) so as to remind you to go via this site to make a purchase.
• Remember to try to use Easyfunding for every purchase on the internet.
• That's it!

Just one more thing. Easyfundraising has its own favourites list you can use so it makes linking to your favourite sites so easy.
